Xploring
Xploring is based on a very simple principle.
If you want to know how the lion hunts you go to jungle and not the zoo.
Adene & Annchen have been out Xploring the violence and abuse against children in South Africa. We have witnessed children that are experiencing violence, guns, gangs, police, abduction and rape. We have been consulting with social workers and psychologists to guide us through this very sensitive journey, to uncover the truth and connect.
Our Communications Objective:
TO STOP THE VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN BY 2011.
A big objective for an advertising agency, but a start, nonetheless. We need to uncover the insights and the truths that are fueling this within our communities, and use this to find a smart / sensitive way of connecting to our communities and GIVING THEM A VOICE!
To make our children and our communities the WHISTLE BLOWERS against violence and rape.

Statistics
• Nearly 60 children are raped each day in South Africa
• Approximately 70% of women & children in South Africa are raped by people they know
• Children under the age of 12 are more at risk, and children represent 80% of rape survivors
• Infant rape is exacerbated by the 'virgin cure' – the belief that it cures HIV/AIDS
• According to the South African Police Service only one in 35 cases are actually reported
